What’s your favorite TV show?
So You Think You Can Dance

What are some of your hobbies or favorite things to do?
Line dancing, singing in the choir, and family celebrations of birthdays.

How did you hear about Advancing Justice-LA/what made you want to work/volunteer for Advancing Justice?
Through my daughter, Janelle Hu

When did you start working at Advancing Justice-LA?
February 26, 2019

What is your favorite part about working/volunteering at Advancing Justice-LA?
I feel very joyful that I can support Advancing Justice-LA with on-going administrative needs.

Share one favorite memory from your time working/volunteering at Advancing Justice-LA?
Organize and find a home for boxes and boxes of files. I love organizing.

What are a few of your hopes for the office?
To continue helping in areas that are under-staffed and doing my part to help others do their jobs well.

What’s one social justice/civil rights issue that’s important to you, and why?
Learning how to navigate administrative bureaucracy, government or health benefits and educating others to do the same. I have spent so many hours at DMV, social security office, and hospitals that it can be frustrating to figure out how to get information and resolve issues. Everyone has a right to access services that they pay for and invest in.

Who is your hero/who is someone that inspires you?
God is my hero. His words, songs of praise and their lyrics inspire me so.
